Home Craft Days Wednesday, 19 October 2005

Posted by R Garfield in Drifting.

Home Craft Days at Mountain Empire was this past weekend. It’s like the 5th craft show JD and I have done this year, and I am happy to say, our last.

It’s also the only craft show I’ve enjoyed. We sold a lot – for the first time this year. We also got commissions, and people actually passing by and looking. My favorite comments were from the other crafts people.

We’re not in their league – not yet – but this may be a start.

I’ve got to admit, I’m still a bit nonplussed by this idea of actually making things to sell. I don’t mind the making; it’s the selling over the course of two-three days I have problems with.

But I understand Misty and Tammy’s approach to their wax dipping much better now. If it pays for the registration fee and the gas to get there, I can be happy with that (for now) if there’s something to do besides sit in the tent for two long, slow days.
